Whittlesey War Memorial

Whittlesey War Memorial is placed at the junction of Queen Street and Market Place.    It was unveiled on the 25th February 1923, attended by Brig-Gen W Strong and Dedicated on the same date, attended by Rev.  A.E.T Newman

The maker is listed as Mr T W Ford of Whittlesey and both the memorial and enclosure fence is Grade II listed.

It lists 248 names from individuals lost in World War I,  World War II and the Korean War.

To commemorate the unveiling and dedication of the memorial, we have put together a small exhibit with photographs and information about some of the individuals who have names engraved.

Thank you to all members of the local community who contributed to this exhibit
