Whittlesey Museum hosts four main exhibitions each year. These are displayed for roughly three months each in Spring (March-May), Summer (June-August), Autumn (September-November) and Winter (December-February). Each of the four main exhibitions has a special event day with extra activities during its run.

Other displays in the museum are also changed frequently, with mini-exhibitions of photographs and museum objects coming and going throughout the year.
