Heritage Walks

At Straw Bear 2018, Whittlesey Museum held a “Get Active” giveaway in which every museum visitor received a pack containing a museum branded pedometer and leaflets. The following leaflets describing heritage themed walks around Whittlesey town centre were included in the packs:

The first three leaflets were produced and printed by Whittlesey Museum using funding from the Dulverton Trust Fund, a charity managed through the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation.  The fourth leaflet was reprinted for the promotion by Visit Cambridgeshire Fens, usually being digital-only. The pack also included leaflets advertising the Fenland Five Museums Group and the Whittlesey Museum events calendar for 2018.

The heritage walks project had several purposes – to promote local heritage, to encourage local people to be active, to strengthen partnerships between the museum and other local bodies and to advertise the museum.
