Museum Youth Schemes

We believe that children are the future of our museum and that the long term protection of our heritage is in their hands.

As a result we have launched two schemes, with the help of Danzen Logistics Ltd and S. Cook Autobody Ltd, to involve them in the museum, to learn about heritage and to have a say in our future plans!

These schemes are run by volunteers who all hold enhanced DBS clearance for your peace of mind.

The monthly Childrens Club

Kindly sponsored by Danzen Logistics Ltd, this monthly club is now open for booking!!

Our next session is on the 15 June 2024 where we will be looking at Farming & Agriculture in Whittlesey. The club is open to anyone aged 7-11 and runs from 10:30am until 12:30pm

We are able to run this club at a reduced rate of £3 per child per session thanks to the kindness of Danzen Logistics Ltd.

It is an inclusive club with creativity at its heart combining learning with fun.  On the first session, each child will also receive a membership pack.

All children must be accompanied by one adult

Prebooking and payment is essential, please click on book now, or contact eventswhittlesey@gmail.com to reserve your space or pop into the museum on a Saturday between 10am and 1pm.

Youth Champion Scheme

The Youth Champion Scheme is kindly sponsored by S. Cook Autobody Ltd

This scheme is open to any individual who lives in Whittlesey, Pondersbridge, Turves, Eastrea and Coates and is in Year 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11.

You will act as a consultant to the museum, ensuring that our ideas and future plans encourage young people to get involved.

Working with the Curator and museum volunteers, we want to ensure that you are involved in what we too and learn about the heritage of the area so it is preserved for future generations.
